- Nursing Home Ministry & Service Learning:
Teaching how to minister to others and giving our students regular opportunities to share God’s love with our local elderly is very important to us.
Mrs. Dunning’s Kindergarten class along with Mrs. Gregoire’s First and Second grade class visit the residents at Cedar Hill Nursing Home in Windsor, VT once a month. They bring a craft they have made in Art class and share a song or recitation they have recently learned.
Mrs. Haynes’ 4th grade class visit our neighbors at the Bourden Center in Claremont, NH once monthly sharing God’s love with their elderly friends there.
- Physical Education & Sports:
All students have Physical Education class in school.
We offer Soccer and Basketball Programs for those students who are in 6th grade and up. The CCA Cougars have a traveling boy’s team and girl’s team for basketball and a co-ed team for soccer.
CCA also offers a Ski Program for grades 4 and up at Mt. Sunapee Ski Area for 5 weeks in January and February.
Once per year, all students participate in our annual Jog-a-thon fundraiser. It’s a lot of fun and our biggest fundraiser of the year!
- Music, Drama & Art:
Elementary students participate in weekly Music and Art Classes and put on a wonderful Christmas program each year as well as a Spring Showcase displaying their musical skills learned that year.
Jr/Sr. High students may elect to participate in a Drama & Music class and perform in a Drama & Music program once yearly.
- Field Trips:
CCA takes lots of field trips! Each year, field trips are scheduled for the fall and spring months. Field trips are educational and give students the opportunity to learn through experience.
Some of the places we have visited are:
Vermont Institute of Natural Science
Christa McAuliffe Planetarium -Shepard Space Center
Claremont Opera House for live performances
Enfield Shaker Museum
St. Gaudens Estate
Calvin Coolidge Homestead

…to name a few!!
- Fun Days & Special Activities:
We set aside some time in our schedule for fun activities that encourage community, school spirit and learning while having fun!!
The Elementary campus has a Grandparents Day Event in September to honor and welcome grandparents to see what is happening at CCA.
CCA has a School Spirit Day. Students have an opportunity to come to school dressed a little different than the every day. Themes such as “School Colors: Blue & Gold” or ” A Moment in Time” encourage creativity and school spirit.
CCA’s annual Jogathon, Silent Auction & Dinner and Golf Tournament are all both fun to participate in and raise much needed funds for CCA in order to continue our Family Tuition Discount Program. New this year is the Pi Day Challenge on March 14th!
